Keep Australia Beautiful is a not-for-profit Australian environmental conservation organisation. The Keep Australia Beautiful Council is the federation of independent organisations formed in each of Australian states and territories - the first of which, Keep Australia Beautiful (Victoria) was formed in Melbourne in 1968 by Dame Phyllis Frost. Keep Australia Beautiful is best known for its “Do the Right Thing” campaign against littering, as well as its national awards programs, including the Australian Tidy Town Awards, and the Australian Sustainable Cities Awards. The organisation releases an annual report called the National Litter Index. This is Australia's only national measure of the amount of litter. Surveys for the report began in 2005, with cigarette butts and plastics topping the list of discarded rubbish. 983 sites, 1000m² are examined across the country. Their annual report lists its premier supporters as Coca Cola South Pacific, The Coca Cola Foundation, Australian Packaging Covenant, Department of the Environment, and Lion, with individual programs sponsored by various state governments or private organisations. 〔(【引用サイトリンク】 Keep Australia Beautiful 2012 Annual Report )〕 ==See also== * Clean Up Australia * Environmental movement in Australia * Keep America Beautiful * Litter in Australia 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Keep Australia Beautiful」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
